Abstract
A device for sealing a leak/burst of a pipe, the device comprising an over-centre locking clasp which is designed to self-tension and press a seal onto the leak/burst. The device may be manufactured in one piece from a flexible and durable material with integral living hinges, which will allow the device to be frequently re-used if the damaged pipe-work is ever replaced. The seals can either be built-in or provided separately but in the same packaging. This gives flexibility where the size of burst is concerned. These pads will have a "pyramid" profile (drawings 4/4). If separate the seals can be used on each internal face of the device or where the damage is more extreme both seals can be used on one face.

DESCRIPTION
This device Instantly and easily fixes damaged pipes.
This invention came about from my plumbing experience in dealing with internal and external pipe-work. There became an apparent need to instantly fix bursts due to freezing conditions or damage without having to replace any pipe-work, have the water switched off for a period of time or have the costly exercise and delay of calling out a professional plumber.
This invention is designed to be used easily in restricted areas, all you have to do is locate the seal over the damaged area and snap shut to create a water-tight seal.
The key features of this invention are: 1/ It can be used with no prior plumbing knowledge.
2/ The body of the unit is supplied either with built-in seals or separate seals.
3/ It can be used easily in restricted spaces.
4/ It can be used as either a temporary or permanent repair.
5/ It has an easy grip outer casing.
6/ It has a long lasting seals.
7/ It has living hinges.
The following drawings and photographs show how the device will look and operate particularly in aspect of its application to burst pipes.
The device also has applications in other areas such as: Medical -Bone selling.
Packaging -For safe cushioned, re-useable transportation.
Automotive -The repair of any rigid fluid carrying pipes or exhausts.
Veterinary -bone selling.
Military -A temporary portable fracture stabilisation device.
Electrical -Housing for any internal or external electrical cable jointing.
Telecoms -Housing for the connection of telecoms wiring/cables.
industry -Any commercial manufacturing plant.
Other -Any industry which requires a quick repair to pipes.
