Abstract
A non slip stool for use in a shower or bath comprises a non slip seat with an angled seat surface B, the seat fitted with semi protruding rubber inserts D. The seat has a plurality of drainage channels C, which run into the central drainage hole A, to allow quick drainage of the soap and water solution away from the seat in use.
Description
Description
This invention relates to a shower stool with non slip features for use in a shower or bath, the non slip shower stool.
When people shower, they will find it useful to sit on a stool as they wash, to help achieve a cleaner than normal body and to help relieve stress.
However, using a seat to bath on is dangerous due to the risk of slipping, both off the seat and around the surface of the shower or bath, and injuring oneself unless, the seat or stool is designed for the purpose of showering. These risks have been removed by the design of the non slip shower stool. The stool has been designed with a non slip seat, which, has a slanted surface leading to a large capacity drainage hole. The seat is further equipped with 12 drainage channels running down to the drainage hole and 32 semi embedded non slip plugs arranged around the seat. The four legs are fitted with bulbous non slip feet, which, help to secure the stool in the shower or bath and cope with the variations in those surfaces.
Figure 1 shows a side view of the stool.
Figure 2 shows a plan view of the seat.
The Key details the various parts of the stool for both figures.
Figure 1 Figure 1 is a side view of the shower stool, which is the same on all sides.
A is the side of the seat B is one of the four slats, which, combine to secure the four legs to the seat by two countersunk stainless steel screws, these are not visible. Each slat is secured to the legs by two brass screws, which are covered by plugs or a sealant designed to prevent the screw from working loose.
C is the covered hole where the brass screw secures the slat B to the Leg D. D is one of the four stool legs, which, butt up against the underside of the seat A, and extends down to receive the non slip foot, with the lower slats also secured to it.

G is one of four lower slats, which, are secured to the leg D, by a brass screw C Fi2ure2 Figure 2 is a plan view of the non slip seat.
A is the large drainage hole in the centre of the seat, which, the drainage channels C, run down to.

C is one of twelve drainage channels cut into B to further assist with the drainage of the soap and water solution and the positive location of the user.
D is one of 32 a semi embedded rubber or plastic non slip plugs designed to further enhance the non slip properties of the stool seat The stool will be made from a material or have applied to it a finish that will enhance its non slip properties
