Abstract

A cigarette lighter comprises a lighting device with means for producing a flame 4, 6-7 and a hollow space 5 for inserting and storing cigarettes. The hollow space may have a water tight seal at the bottom and a snap close lid 3. The hollow space may also have a number of grooves for holding the cigarettes and a lid with cup like grooves which match the ends of the cigarette holding channels.

Description

Summary of the Invention
The invention relates to the improvement of disposable lighters, to include a multi cigarette compartment. It is custom to cany both a source of ignition and cigarettes.
Lighters are expensive to manufacture and matches are bulky to carry. Cigarettes boxes are not durable enough to with stand water and pressure and will result in damage to the cigarette. Cigarette containers are expensive. Lighters are frequently lost or forgotten whereas the cigarettes themselves are seldom misplaced.
The main object of the invention is to marry disposable lighters with cigarettes so it can be sold to the public.
Another object of the invention is to provide a compartment for multiple cigarettes constituting part of the lighter.
Another object of the invention is to provide a cigarette lighter that is formed to house multiple cigarettes.
Another object of the invention is to provide a type of cigarette lighter with a cigarette compartment, so as to be sold at no extra cost or at an insignificant extra cost. The idea is to provide a disposable lighter with a compartment for cigarettes that can serve as a housing unit for cigarettes until the lighter is empty.
Another object of the invention is to provide a cigarette compartment structure in the easiest and most inexpensive way possible.
Another object of the invention is to construct a lighter structure that is easy and
comfortable to use.
Another object of the invention is to construct and locate the compartment to prevent the cigarettes from coming in contact with the flame or fluid of the lighter, thus making it safe to use. The compartment opening would be at the bottom of the lighter and the closing mechanism will seal the compartment.
Another object of the invention is to construct a lighter structure that is sleek and only slightly larger than a standard disposable lighter.
Another object of the invention is to design, simplify and arrange all of the component parts of the lighter and compartment for the most interrelated compactness, in order to minimize the space required by the unit.
Another objective of the invention is to design the fuel reservoir for ignition means, as large as or larger than a standard disposable lighter reservoir.
Another object of the invention is to simplify the design of each individual part, reduce their number to a minimum, and interrelate in such a way as to be able to manufacture at a cost sufficiently low to make the same commercially feasible.
Fundamentally, the invention consists of integrating with a disposable lighter a multi compartment for cigarettes capable of safely housing up to three cigarettes and designed specifically to add function to the lighter.
The invention makes it possible for customers to buy at an insignificant cost, a cigarette lighter and container so that cigarettes can be safely carried and lit. It would make it possible for the lighter to serve as a lighter and as a cigarette holder.
The lighter would be on the top of the structure with the holding compartment and the fuel reservoir below it. The sealing mechanism would be at the bottom of the lighter.
Brief Description of the Drawing Figures
Further details, features and advantages of the invention can be taken from the following description part in which with the aid of a drawing a typical embodiment of the invention is explained in greater detail.
FIG. 1 shows a side view of an inventive cigarette lighter in a diagrammatic representation.
FIG. 2 shows an internal side view of two types of cigarette lighters, electronic and flint ignition, with the containers to house fuel and cigarettes.
FIG. 3 shows a bottom view of the lighter that closes the cigarette container.
FIG. 4 shows an internal view of the lighter from the bottom.
FIG. 5 shows a view of the bottom of the lighter at an angle.
FIG. 6 shows an aerial view of the ignition mechanism.
FIG. 7 shows an internal view of the cigarette housing container.
FIG. 8 shows a view of the lid.
Detailed Description of the Drawing and Preferred Embodiments The inventive cigarette lighter shown in FIG. 1 compromises a storage container (1), which houses a fuel container and cigarette housing unit. In the figure an example mechanical lighting unit (2), which generates the ignition spark through friction of the ribbed steel wheel (10) against a flint not shown here. This spark ignites the gas which escapes from a nozzle when the valve is open, not shown here, which then combusts into flame. The flame size can be adjusted using the setting screw (9) to regulate the gas flow emitted through the nozzle. The container specified for cigarettes is closed with a lid (3).
FIG. 2 shows the capability of the container to be fitted with both electronic (6) and flint (7) ignition mechanisms. This shows a cross section of the lighters exposing the two housing compartment. Inside is the fuel container (4) which house fuel, for example, liquid butane. The cigarette container (5) which houses cigarettes is also in the storage container (1) sealed closed with the lid (3).
FIG. 3 shows the bottom of the lighter and the lid (3) that seals the cigarette container (5). The lid (3) moves with the aid of a hinge (8) to snap securely on the storage container (1).
FIG. 4 shows a cross section of the storage container (1) exposing the cross section of the two compartments, the fuel container (4) and the cigarette container (5).
FIG. 5 shows an angle view of the bottom of the lighter. It displays how the lid (3) to the cigarette container (5) can open and close because of the hinge (8) and secure itself to the storage container (I).
FIG. 6 shows an aerial view of the lighter. It displays how the ignition mechanism (6) is attached to the storage container (1).
FIG. 7 shows an internal view of the storage container (1). It displays the grooves (11) designed to keep cigarettes finnly in place.
FIG. 8 shows a view of the lid (3) with cup-like grooves (12) that cigarettes sit snugly in.

Claims (3)

  1. What is claimed is: 1. A cigarette lighter, comprising: a lighting device with means for producing flame; a hollow space for inserting and storing cigarettes inside the lighter safely.
  2. 2. A cigarette lighter as claimed in claim I where the cigarette compartment has: a water tight seal at the bottom; a snap close lid with a hinge that is durable for multiple use.
