Abstract

A plug and/or cable holder supports a plug and/or cable close to a socket when it is not connected. The holder may be formed in a unit between two sockets. One of the sockets may be an unswitched socket, for further supporting a heavy plug.

Description

CABLE/PLUG TiDY
Introduction
This invention relates to a device for holding unused cables and plugs.
Typically when moving electrical appliances you have to disconnect the plug and or cables. These usually fall to the floor and sometimes disappear behind heavy furniture.
Everyone especially the disabled and the elderly find it difficult to easily retrieve these cables.
Summary
Whether for a few minutes or until you need to use a particular electric appliance again you can store cables in a cable/plug holder.
Introduction to the detailed description
The invention prevents painful rummaging to retrieve cables.
Usually people do not unplug appliances for fear of losing the cable under heavy furniture. This invention will allow appliances to be unplugged from wall sockets thus resulting in saving energy.
So next time you want to swap over electrical appliances you can store the cables by resting them in the cable holder.
This invention will work in all environments, office, home and car.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the finished product which can be replicated to provide two or more sections.
The A's are cut away from B. The space between B and A is where the cable rests.
C is the name of the invention, Cable/Plug Holder.
Figure 2 shows an alternative version. The cable holder, switched and unswitched socket are housed in one unit with the cable holder being sandwiched between the sockets. The unswitched socket is where unused heavy adapter type plugs can be held.
D is the unswitched socket.
E outlines the section as one unit.
