Air, moistening.-In apparatus for moistening the hot air ascending from radiators &c. comprising a horizontal sheet of absorbent material c dipping into liquid-containers a, the sides of the containers are provided with longitudinal elements l which embrace the top of the radiator along its whole length and prevent the air from escaping laterally. The aosorbent sheet is supported on bowed transverse bars n to form a domed roof from the ends of which the moistened air can escape. When the radiator is built into a niche, Fig. 3, one side only of the sheet dips into a container a<2> the other side dipping into a gutter g.
