Bedsteads; occupants, retaining; berths. - Two bedsteads are arranged to form a two-tiered bedstead, by securing the posts of one in place on the posts of the other. Detachable side guard rails A slide in slots B in the frame. A cap may be removed from the top of each leg of one bedstead and a globular base from each leg of the other, and the legs are then connected by a metal socket C, or the posts may be hollowed to receive dowels or metal tubes.
