Abstract

A ring shaped tackle bag 1 with a foam filling and means 4 to attach a ball 3 to an inner side of the ring. Hook and loop means may be used to attach the ball 3 to the bag 1. Different foam densities may be used to suit different age groups. The bag 1 may be made of a water resistant material. In use the device may be rolled to simulate a running player.

Description

Round Moving Rugby Tackle Bag with Ball Attachment (1)A Round circular Bag that's made to be rolled and used as a moving target for a rugby player to practise and perform safe and different types of tackles. (2) The large tackle bag is made with a PVC, water resistant type of material that acts as the skin and is filled with (3) one or more different types of Density Foam in side the main body of the bag. The Foam Density will get heavier as the round bag gets larger for the more Senior players.
(4)Attached inside the inner rim of the Round Donut like tackle bag is a rugby ball that simulates a rugby player canying a rugby ball when running with the ball in a game. (5) This ball is attached with either Velcro or some type of material that allows the ball to be secured tightly to the main bag whilst rolling along the ground but also allows the player to rip this ball off the main tackle bag once a tackle has been made and the bag is bought to ground.
This tackle bag will allow children to learn at an early age the correct methods of attempting a rugby tackle on a moving object and will also take the injury risk of the child running with the ball getting tackled away. This bag having the ball attached to the inner circle will teach kids or any rugby player the skill of making a tackle, getting to their feet, and attempting to re-gather possession by ripping the ball off the main bag. If children were to learn this skill together with having the confidence to make a safe and correct tackle at an early age, they will surely grow to become a better player and trainings will become just that little bit more fun.
