Abstract

A charging system comprises a power pad (10) and compatible circuitry on devices (20) to be charged, including contacts in a constellation pattern that interface with conductive strips (12) on the pad (10) to ensure power transfer regardless of orientation. Safety and control circuitry provide spark suppression and short protection.
