Abstract

A transmitter adaptor 8 for a portable device, e.g. mobile phone 3, video game console 4, personal computer 5, or other audiovisual device 6, encodes audiovisual signals 2 from the portable device 3, 4, 5, 6 prior to transmission 12 and a receiver adaptor 9 for a television set 14 or video projector 11 decodes the received audiovisual signals 10, 13. The audiovisual signals 2 are transmitted 12 within the adaptors' 8, 9 specific frequency range. The transmitter adaptor 8 is paired to the receiver adaptor 9 to enable a transmission session. The adaptors 8, 9 may be built in to the portable device and television or video projector (fig.2), or may be plugged in, e.g. via a USB port of the portable device 3, 4, 5, 6. The adaptors 8, 9 are powered by the portable device 3, 4, 5, 6, television 14 or video projector 11.

Wireless portable device audio visual display transmission system
Specifications:
The wireless audio visual signal transmission adapters are made up of a signal encoder and signal transmitter (for the transmitter adapter) and a signal receiver and signal decoder (for the receiver adapter). Both devices include a light emitting diode to confirm transmission is in progress or receiving status and power availability.
Transmitter Adapter Signal Encoder: For the encoding of the audio visual signals from the portable device in preparation for transmission.
Signal Transmitter: For wireless transmission of the encoded audio visual signals from the portable device to the television set or video projector.
Light Emitting Diode: For confirmation of the transmission status and power availability.
USB Jack (Plug In mode): For connectivity with the USB port of the portable device to enable transmission of the audio visual signals.
Receiver Adapter Signal Decoder: For the decoding of the audio visual signals from the portable device on receipt of the transmission at the television set or video projector end.
Signal Receiver: For wireless receipt of the encoded audio visual signals from the portable device at the television set or video projector.
Light Emitting Diode: For confirmation of the receiving status and power availability.
Wireless AV Jack (Plug In mode): For connectivity with the Wireless AV port of the television set or video projector.
