Abstract
A packaging product comprising a pack comprising a transparent portion 4 whereby the contents of the packaging can be seen. The packaging is a plastic sealable pouch 2 for pet. food, and may comprise a plurality of transparent portions 4 in the shape of a cat's paw.
Description
Improvements in and Relating to Packaging
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to packaging.
BackQround to the Invention Customers suffer from not being able to see foodstuffs they are purchasing.
Summary of the Invention
According to the present invention there is provided a packaging product comprising a pack comprising a transparent portion whereby the contents of the packaging can be seen.
"Transparent" includes partly transparent.
Suitably, the packaging product is a pouch.
Suitably, the packaging product is formed from a plastics material.
Suitably, the packaging product is for a foodstuff.
Suitably, the packaging product is sealed or sealable.
Suitably, a part only of the packaging product is transparent.
Suitably, there are a plurality of separate transparent portions.
Suitably, the transparent portions represent a paw.
Suitably, the packaging product contains a foodstuff. Suitably, the foodstuff is a pet food.
Brief Description of the DrawinQs
For a better understanding of the invention, and to show how embodiments of the same may be carried into effect, reference will now be made, by way of example, to the accompanying diagrammatic drawings in which: Figure 1 is a front elevation of a packaging product.
Description of a Preferred Embodiment
Referring to Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings, there is shown a flexible plastics packaging product 2 in the form of a sealed pouch for containing a pet food, specifically a cat food. The packaging product 2 comprises a plurality of transparent portions 4 in the shape of a cat's paw, through which transparent portions the contents of the packaging product can be seen. The remainder of the packaging product 2 is opaque.
Attention is directed to all papers and documents which are filed concurrently with or previous to this specification in connection with this application and which are open to public inspection with this specification, and the contents of all such papers and documents are incorporated herein by reference.

Claims (11)
- Claims 1. A packaging product comprising a pack comprising a transparent portion whereby the contents of the packaging can be seen.
- 2. The packaging product of claim 1, wherein the packaging product is a pouch.
- 3. The packaging product of claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the packaging product is formed from a plastics material.
- 4. The packaging product of any preceding claim, wherein the packaging product is for a foodstuff.
- 5. The packaging product of any preceding claim, wherein the packaging product is sealed or sealable.Q
- 6. The packaging product of any preceding claim, wherein a part only of the packaging product is transparent.
- 7. The packaging product of any preceding claim, wherein there are a plurality of separate transparent portions.
- 8. The packaging product of any preceding claim, wherein the transparent portions represent a paw.
- 9. The packaging product of any preceding claim, wherein the packaging product contains a foodstuff.
- 10. The packaging product of claim 9, wherein the foodstuff is a pet food.
- 11. A packaging product substantially as described herein, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
