Abstract
A mechanism for allowing adjustment of the orientation of a bicycle handlebar comprises a first body part 9 for coupling with a handlebar stem 17, a second body part 7 for coupling with a steerer tube 5, and a quick release locking mechanism configured to be switchable between an unlocked configuration and a locked configuration, wherein the first body part 9 and the second body part 7 are configured to interlock when the first body part 9 is at each of a plurality of predetermined rotational orientations with respect to the second body part 7, and wherein the quick release locking mechanism is arranged relative the first 9 and second 7 body parts such that, when the quick release locking mechanism is in its unlocked configuration, the first body part is rotatable relative to the second body part, and such that, when the quick release locking mechanism is in its locked configuration, the first body part is not rotatable relative to the second body part. The locked configurations may be approximately ninety degrees relative to each other.
