Abstract

A security cover for a padlock, the cover having a U shaped main body 1 which in use covers the front and sides of the padlock body and shackle. The padlock shackle is looped through a shackle location ring 2 and the padlock body is retained in place via a retaining bar 2. The retaining bar 3 is secured diagonal with respect to the main body 1. To place the padlock in the cover, the padlock is held with the shackle pointing downwards and inserted into the cover from the lower edge, the shackle is then positioned at right angles to the padlock body, it is then fed into the shackle location ring 2. until the padlock can be pivoted around the locating ring into an upright, conventional, position. The padlock is then able to move around within the cover allowing fitment to lock mechanisms within becoming detached from the cover.
