Description

I
Crutch Aid This invention relates to a device which can be attached to most walking aids ( e.g. elbow crutches and ziinmer frames) to be used for carrying hot or cold drinks. A sleeve can be inserted for carrying other objects. This device enables people who have to use both hands on crutches walking stick or a zimmer frame to carry hot or cold drinks safely, and other small objects should they wish to use the sleeve option.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the device about to be attached to a walking aid.
Figure 2 shows the device attached to a walking aid.
Figure 3 shows the device containing a flask, 4, attached to the outside of an elbow crutch.
Figure 4 shows the device containing a clear plastic sleeve, 5, attached to the outside of an elbow crutch.
I figure 1, the crutch aid includes a bottle cage 1, with two attached clips, 2. The bottom clip slides vertically up and down in order that the locating pins, 3, line up with the top existing adjustment holes on the crutch. The clips snap on around the crutch tubing, and the locating pins prevent the device from moving vertically up or down, and provide greater stability. It is unnecessary to make any alterations to a standard N.H.S elbow crutch to use this device, which can be attached or unattached with a simple snap-on snap-off action.
