Abstract

A triple yoke 12 is formed by connecting two double yokes 2 having link mounting holes 4 in their both ends with each other coaxially with central one of the link mounting holes 4, and insulator strings are mounted in the link mounting holes 4 through links 5 to form a triple tension string insulator assembly. A lightning arrester 10 is held in the vicinity of the centre axis of the triple tension string insulator assembly by a mounting adaptor 20 that overhangs toward the central link mounting hole 4 from one of the double yokes 2 (figs 5 and 6). A small balance weight 30 is mounted on the other double yoke 2 or outer one of the links 5 to keep balance of weight of the mounting adaptor 20.
