Abstract

A condiment holder is provided for attachment to a carton containing a portion of chips. The holder is initially folded flat, but can be unfolded to form a pouch into which a pouch of condiment, e.g. sauce, can be inserted. The holder is made of cardboard and is rectangular in shape.

Description

Saucy Chips description:
My new invention is something simple, but yet something I have never seen before.
It is functionally new and novel and capable of industrial application.
My invention is a container of chips, which also includes a pouch for sauce.
It works like this: (?m) (Tii) A typical large chip container at McDonalds, KFC, Burger King,tc is made out of cardboard. It is manufactured in a way which nkes it easy to pack flat, and open wide to create a pouch for the chips to be put into, and then obviously taken out for eating.
* Saucy Chips uses this basic design, and adds a completely new option to the customer, of putting a sauce container into the chip container, It does this by having a fold out pouch for a sauce box to sit. From here, the sauce can be opened, and it can stay there for the entire use of the chip container.
* The fold out pouch is made of cardboard, and is able to be flat packed also.
Detail of the sauce pouch * The sauce pouch sits on the back of the chip container, on the opposite side to the chips themselves.
* It is a rectangle shape * When flat, it looks like an extra cardboard support on the back of the pack.
* To open, peel the pouch away from the back of the cardboard container.
* This makes the pouch 3-Dimensional, and has a void within which a sauce can sit.
The sauce supports the structure of the pouch.
* FYI-the sauce will need to be able to open vertically. Whereas currently sauces currently are open on the top of their horizontal edge, which is the longest side, this will require the sauce to be open from the smaller side of the rectangular shape of the sauce.
