Abstract

A two part sports shirt comprises a cropped or shortened outer t-shirt worn over a normal or full-length vest or undershirt. The sports shirt may include sweat absorbing material in the underarm areas to absorb perspiration. The cropped outer t-shirt may have a collar or be collarless, and may have long or short sleeves. The two part sports shirt may be formed of cotton, cotton/polyester mix, lycra, nylon or similar materials. The two part sports shirt is intended for use when playing sports such as tennis, badminton, squash or golf. The shirt aims to reduce discomfort and restriction of movement caused by sweating in comparison with conventional sports shirts.

Description

Description
Bikini T-shirt This invention relates to a unique T-shirt design that improves user comfort and user movement for sportsmen and sportswomen.
When sportsmen and sportswomen play sports and they sweat, their arm and shoulder movement is restricted by conventional P-shirts when the sportsperson becomes sweaty and the shirt sticks to their shoulders and back.
Many sportsmen and sportswomen in the field of tennis, badminton, squash and golf are regularly seen lifting the shoulder of their T-shirt with their non racket hand to release the shirt from their sweaty upper body. This gives some comfort for a few sports strokes, but the relief is only for a very short period of time because of the conventional design of the one piece T-shirt.
The feature of this invention is the two piece design of this sports shirt enabling better, less restrictive movement to athletes. This will help them overcome the problems associated with sweat during play and improve performance due to lack of restriction in movement.
Figure 1 shows the first part (top half) of the Bikini T-shirt. It has conventional sleeves and collar (the collar is optional) and is cropped just below the chest area. The sleeves are intact and fully formed as though this was a conventional T-shirt, the difference being that it is much shorter.
Figure 2 shows the second part (bottom half) of the Bikini T-shirt. It does not have sleeves but has openings for the arms and the v-neck hides the front section of the shirt when worn together with the top half.
When the bikini T-shirt is worn in this two part design, shoulder movement is unrestricted even when the arms, shoulders and back become sweaty.
Optional features would include, either with a collar or without a collar and short sleeve or long sleeve. In addition a sweat band material could be incorporated in the under-arm area to absorb perspiration.
Material usage in manufacture of this garment This product is suitable for manufacture in cotton, cotton/polyester mix, Lycra, nylon and any other material currently used in sportswear garment design.
