Description

WIND GUIDE FOR PARASOL I UMBERELLA
Description
This product is a wind guide for a beach or garden parasol or umbrella which can be attached to any beach and garden parasol/umbrella to help stabilise the parasol/umbrella and stop it blowing away in the wind.
This new product idea came from sitting on a beach in the Algarve on many a windy day and watching numerous beach parasols/umbrellas loose their footing and blowing down the beach or in to the sea, sometimes with people chasing afler them to retrieve them or apologise to other people if they had blown in to them or their belongings. Although the parasol/umbrella was usually retrieved the majority of them were already broken and some had damaged others they had hit in their path. Up and down the coasts of most countries and in gardens too, parasols and umbrellas are being blown away often damaging other property on their way and sometimes causing personal injury too.
This product is a completely new approach to the securing of a beach/garden parasol/umbrella and can be attached to any beach or garden parasol/umbrella and will secure the parasol/umbrella and prevent it from being blown away during slight to moderate winds and although it may be sold together with the parasol/umbrella it is an accessory to the parasol/umbrella and not part of the parasol/umbrella and is therefore unique and will also be primarily sold as a separate item/accessory.
This product comprises of four main components which are a ground peg, length of line, ladder lock buckle and spring clip. These are shown on Page 5 in the drawings numbered Figures 2 to 5 and an example of an assembled parasol/umbrella with the wind guide attached is shown in Figure 1 on Page 4.
The product should be assembled as per the instructions and attached to the parasol/umbrella once this has been erected with the ground peg secured fully in to the ground upwind to counter wind forces so that the parasol/umbrella cannot be blow over and the line adjusted by moving the ladder lock buckle as required.
