1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an adjusting assembly, and more particularly to an adjusting assembly for a barbecue grill allowing easy and safe adjustment of a grill position relative to a stove of the barbecue grill.
2. Description of Related Art
With reference to Fig. 8, a conventional barbecue grill (50) generally comprises a stove (51) and a grill (52). The stove (51) has a top and an opening.
The opening is formed in the top of the stove (51): The grill (52) is mounted in the top of the stove (51) above the opening for supporting food during cooking.
However, a distance between the top of the stove (51) and the grill (52) of the conventional barbecue grill (50) is fixed so a height and the angle between the stove (51) and the grill (52) cannot be adjusted according to food type and fire heat or size. Therefore, different food types, such as vegetables, meat or fish held on thegrill (50) must be cooked at the same temperature so food types, especially slow cooking food types, are easily burned, half cooked or both. Furthermore, when charcoal needs to be added or removed, the grill (52) has to be lifted off from the top of the stove (51) with great opportunity for injury by the grill (52), which is very hot, further complicated when the grill (52) is also laden with food.
In addition, the area of the grill (52) is large and can not be moved or adjusted easily.
To overcome the shortcoming, the present invention provides an adjusting assembly for a barbecue grill to obviate or mitigate the aforementioned problems. * 2

The adjusting assembly in accordance with the present invention for a barbecue grill having a stove and at least one grill has a lifting device and a rotating device. The lifting device is mounted on the stove of the barbecue grill and has a housing, a handle and a lifting shaft. The housing is mounted securely on a sidewall of the stove and has a niounting bracket and a transition gear. The handle is rotatably connected to the housing and has a driving gear and an operating stem. The lifting shaft is movably mounted in the mounting bracket.
The rotating device is connected to the lifting device and the grill of the barbecue grill and has a mounting jacket and a rotating shaft. The mounting jacket is mounted securely on a sidewall of the grill and is mounted around the lifting shaft.
The rotating shaft is formed on and protrudes from the upper end of the mounting jacket.
Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
