Abstract
A sleep inducing device plays digital recordings of everyday sounds to aid sleep in cases of insomnia or disruptive sleep patterns. The sounds may include a propeller, a vacuum cleaner, a washing machine, a train, wind, breaking waves, cars or motorbikes. The volume may be adjusted.
Description
Natural Common Everyday Sounds Steep Inducing Machine
Description of Invention
The machine/sound device would be a small bedside unit about similar in size to a radio alarm clock. It could come in many variations or colours of design. The unit would transmit a range of everyday sounds that may be of beniSt to a person who has insomnia, or just having diffcuJty in sieeping at a particular time. The differance between this device and other sleep inducing methods would be the actual sounds being made. It would not be transmitting soothing music or chants as others may but would produce digitally remastered sounds of everyday noise such as the propellerIengine sound of a small airoplane passing over head at night, heading off into the far distance, the low level sound of a domestic vacum cleaner, whilst on the low level sound of a train clattering along a track, the sound of a strong wind outside or gate ouEside window, the sourd of waves rolling heavty in a storm or crashng agaist the coast The tow level sound of a car or motorbike exhaust driving of in the far distance outside. Also a number of other sounds to be outhned.
The sounds could be expanded or retracted to a 5, 10 15, 20 minute etc session, depending on the individuals preference.
The device would be battery operated for safety reasons and auotmtically shut down after chosen session time.
