Abstract

An inflatable/deflatable balloon for use in a building reduces volume of a room in the building such that less heating or cooling of the room is required to reach a desired room temperature. The balloon may be located on the ceiling or floor of the room or used to partition a room and may be permanently installed in the building. The reduced room volume thus requires less energy use to heat or cool the room space.

Description

VOLUME BALLOON
This invention is to incorporate inflatable Volume Balloons into any type of Building; where the exposed volume of air remaining around the Balloons will be reduced within the building. Therefore when heating or cooling a building, by reducing the volume, a desired temperature will be obtained quicker, saving energy.
These Volume Balloons can be any shape, size or colour; they can be placed on the floor, against a wall, or suspended from a roof or ceiling. These can also be used as a partition from floor to ceiling to cut down an area of space, to a designated size required. They can be filled on the ground and then suspended from the building roof ceiling or filled while suspended, via an air line from the floor to the Balloon, wherever in situ in the building. It can have individual air line to each one or can be linked up in a series from one Volume Balloon to another.
The Volume Balloon is made of a non flammable material, that can be inflated to any shape design and size of the area required, i.e.: round, square, rectangle and of different sizes in diameter, length, width and depth. This material used will be coated with an anti bacterial, anti fungible substance.
These Volume Balloons will be filled by air from a compressor set at 6 Bar Output of Pressure, to a Quick Release Coupling, which would be easy to disconnect Air Line without Air Exhausting from the Compressor. Then to a Water Separator and Prefiler which takes Water and Impurities out of the Air Line. A Carbon Filer for Clean Air taking out the Micro Organisms from the Air Supply, to Pressure Regulator to Drop Pressure from 6 Bar to a Working Pressure. An adjustable Air Pressure Relief Valve to protect from Over Pressurization, with a Hand Operated Valve for Inflate and Deflate whenever necessary. A Pilot operated 2/2 Valve switches Vacuum On when deflating. As a Vacuum Generator creates Vacuum from Compressed Air, the Pilot Operated Check Valve holds the Pressure once inflated and the Antibacterial Supply Line with a Quick release to fill up the Balloon. By doing this the Volume Balloon will be lighter in weight, will have dry air within the Volume Balloon and clean pure air to prevent bacteria and fungal appearing within it.

Claims (9)

  1. CLAIMS1. By incorporating these inflated Volume Balloons within a Building, Factory, Office, Hall, Unit or any arrears where it needs to be heated or cooled this device will cut down on energy Bills.
  2. 2. When heating a building, heat rises, therefore by installing these Volume Balloons towards the roof or ceiling space of the building, the Volume Balloons will take up a volume of exposed air in which will now not need to be heated.
  3. 3. Heat rising and then coming back down towards floor level would be obtained in less time achieving a desired working temperature more efficiently in a shorter space of time, saving usage of electricity, gas, and energy which would equate in a reduction of utility bills.
  4. 4. By putting these Volume Balloons into a building would reduce the consumption of energy normally used, therefore cutting down on carbon emissions.
  5. 5. By cutting carbon emissions this would be good for the government to hit its target on carbon emissions and would be better for the environment and global warming.
  6. 6. This device can also be used for air conditioning in a similar way by cooling the building in less time in the hot weather using less energy.
  7. 7. Once these Volume Balloons have been installed into a building they can be left in situ and used all year round if required as a permanent fixture.
  8. 8. These Volume Balloons can be inflated or deflated if required from the ground without the time and cost of removing them, if they need to be deflated for any reason.
  9. 9. This is an alternative energy saving concept behind this design is that it creates an inflatable Volume Balloon, where upon inflating removes a volume of exposed air within a building which then, no longer has to be heated or cooled.
