Abstract

A water heating system comprises an electrically energised thermal comparator system which detects and compares a difference in average temperature between a heat consumer, such as a domestic water reservoir or swimming pool, and a heat supplier. Preferably, when the temperature of the heat supplier is greater than the temperature of the heat consumer, the comparator system switches a pump into operation to transfer fluid in a closed loop between the heat supplier and the heat consumer. The heat supplier may comprise a series of sequential parabola profiled sun troughs designed to concentrate the suns heat onto a series of fluid containing tubes. Electrical power for the system may be provided by a solar photovoltaic (PV) panel. Preferably, the system is autonomous such that it can be used in developing countries, which do not have a reliable permanent energy supply, and remote locations far from civilisation. In use, the system provides base-load heating for household hot water consumption and for domestic swimming pool heating.

Description

Patent application 1
Description addition for form 1 section 9
The present invention applies to the base-load heating for household hot water consumption, and also applies for domestic swimming pool heating.
The Product comprises four main interacting system assemblies.1)--A comparator system labelled {1}, 2)--A pump with its piping system labelled {2}, 3)--A househpld water reservoir or swimming pool labyrinth' labelled{3}, 4)--A roof filament heating system labelled {4}.
Finally an optional Solar photovoltaic panel labelled {5}. If permanent power systems are available, this option can be replaced with a low cost power supply that is connected to the local electrical power supply.
