Abstract

The cable A includes an external self-adhesive layer B such as to hold the cable in position during installation. Sticky-bac cable will revolutionise the installation of cable. It will make installation quicker & faster; it will be cost effective by eliminating the need for clips, staples and trunking. It will also save money on overall installation costs and labour: giving a quicker and cleaner service. In conclusion Sticky-bac cable would be an asset to companies giving a quicker, cleaner and more cost effective method of cable management.

Description

The Invention.
The invention relates to the installation cable industry.
When installation engineers come to install cable, be it, Alarm, cat 5 or fire cable, there are always clips or staples involved.
With Sticky-bac cable, this would cut down or cut out the use of clips etc. Figure 1 shows normal cable (A) , where as figure 2 shows the cable (A) redesigned, to take the self adhesive tape (B) and (C) showing peel backing.
Prior to Art.
Presently the cable industry uses a number of ways in which to either conceal or hold cables in place, such as: * Cable Clips * Cable ties (In various guises) * Sticky Pads * Conduit (In many guises) The Sticky -bac cable invention would help to eradicate the problems encountered with all of the above methods, by enabling ease of installation and thereby decreasing installation time.
