Abstract

A reduced depth, three-dimensional torso shaped mannequin B for displaying garments is housed in a transparent presentation box. The presentation box comprises a back piece A to which the mannequin B is attached, and transparent front piece C which is clipped to the back piece A.

Description

This invention relates to a display case in transparent material encasing a formed manikin to display clothing.
Currently clothing is displayed two-dimensionally and involves a complicated process of "pinning and framing". The garments look flat and lifeless. To overcome this Problem, the present invention proposes a formed reduced part-torso with enough depth to project the human body shape but shallow enough to take up a minimum amount of space when displayed and to have an easier system of attaching the garment to the back section.
The 3-dimensional system provides better aesthetics as well as easier attachment of the garment by the system described.
The invention will now be described solely by example and with references to the 0) accompanying drawings.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS1. A display cabinet comprising of components A, B and C to display clothing 3 -dimensionally.
  2. 2. Ability to display clothing on a reduced-depth torso manikin whilst retaining the aesthetics of a full torso. This enables the Merron Box to be used where people have, for example, restricted space.
  3. 3. A simple system enabling an untrained person to assemble clothing quickly and easily for immediate display whilst still retaining a high aesthetics level of garment display/projection. a) (\J
