Abstract
The present invention provides a method of forming a coating on a lignocellulose substrate. The method comprises the steps of providing a lignocellulose substrate with a fusible powder disposed on a surface thereof, and applying laser radiation to fuse and, optionally, cure the powder to form a coating. The present invention also provides a lignocellulose substrate having on a surface thereof at least one coating formed in this way, as well as an item of furniture, a Braille sign, a wall panel and a floor panel comprising such a lignocellulose substrate.
