Abstract

A neck tie protector protects the tie of a wearer from being stained and soiled when the wearer is eating. The neck tie protector covers the front of a neck tie and is detachably attached to the neck tie via surplus material 1 at the top of the protector that tucks behind the knot the wearer's tie. The protector may have a band of material 2 attached to the back of the protector that forms with a loop through which the neck tie may be passed, thereby securing the protector to the neck tie. Preferably the neck tie protector is disposable and made from moisture blocking biodegradable material.

Description

I
Neck Tie Protector A common problem experienced by neck tie wearers is food and/or drinks being spilt on them whilst the wearer is eating andlor drinking.
Very often food, wine or other Oquids get spilt onto the neck tie leaving unsightly stains. These stains are often very difficult to remove without damaging costly neck ties.
This problem is experienced daily especially, but not exclusively, by business men, who pop ouf to lunch and have to return to their workplaces with unsightly stained neck ties. Neck tie wearers would greatly benefit from having a neck tie protector offered to them.
Men in particular tend to feel uncomfortable having to tuck huge linen or paper serviettes, often covering their chests, into the top of their shirts. It is not common to see a person tucking their neck tie Into their shirt or remove their neck tie before eating.
Paper serviettes have a distinct disadvantage as they tend to allow fluids to pass through with the chance of penetrating onto the fabric of the neck tie.
The neck tie protector covers the neck tie with a moisture absorbent1 blo degradable material that will not allow any liquid to pass through onto the neck tie thereby fully protecting ii The neck tie protector is made of blo degradable, Fiquid absorbent disposable and environmentally friendly materials. The neck tie protector is easy to attach and remove from the neck tie.
The neck tie protector can be customised with company/business names, colours and logos.
The neck tie protector uses a minimum amount of material in the manufacturing process, thereby reducing the amount of excess material covering the weare(s chest The Invention will now be described by reference to the accompanying drawl ngs.
Page 1/2 Figure 1 shows the neck tie protector being slightly wider and longer than a * conventional neck tie 1.
Page 2/2 Figure 1 shows the neck tie protector having a surplus of material at the top I to allow the neck tie protector to be tucked into the top of the shirt behind the neck tie knot.
Page 212 Figure 1 shows the neck tie protector has a band of mateii& 2. This band is attached on both sides of the reverse 3 & 4 with openings lop and bottom to allow the neck tie to be slipped through and held securely in place.
