Abstract
A spider and insect catcher comprises a container with an openable window and a handle. The handle may have an inner section slidable within an outer section. The inner section maybe operatively connected to the window so that when the inner part is pulled, the window opens. The container may be made of a translucent material enabling an operator to see when the insect has been picked up. The container may also have an air ventilator through which insecticides may be sprayed to kill the insect. The catcher may also be suitable for catching frogs.
Description
SPIDER AND INSECT CATCHER.
This invention relates to a device for catching and releasing spiders and insects.
Flow do you catch a spider and put it safely outside if you are afraid to touch it? This device means you can catch any insect from the size of a very small spider to a small frog. It can be used if the spider is on a hard surface such as wood/glass etc. or on soft fabric, such as curtains/upholstery. It can also be used to catch flying insects.
The compartment the insect is stored in is translucent enabling you to see when you have picked the insect up.
To catch an insect you pull the handle upwards which opens the window. The open window is placed over the insect. Push down on the handle this contains the insect within the storage container, then it can be released.
The devise has also been designed for use in more exotic climates where the insects may be dangerous or poisonous. If caught the air ventilator can be used to spray the insect with an insecticide etc. The devise will now be described as reference to the drawings; FIG 1. Shows the device as a whole, including handle drawn back with window open and air ventilator.
FIG 2. Shows the device from side angle with air ventilator.
FIG 3, Shows end view of storage container with open window.
FTC 4. Shows end view to rear of storage container.
FIG 5. Shows side view with handle pulled out.
FIG 6, Shows bottom view of storage container FIG 7. Shows top view of storage container. 2.
The handle is made from hard tubular plastic of which there is a smaller tube which slides down a larger tube this is attached to the window so when the handle is pulled upwards it opens the window.
When the handle is pushed down it closes the window.
The handle grip is made from rubber giving better grip, The storage container and window are made from translucent plastic in order to see the insect inside. 3.
Claims (2)
