Technical Field
The present invention relates to a leaf blower-vacuum apparatus and, more particularly, to a leaf blower-vacuum apparatus with a nestable blower pipe and a detachable wheel for packaging, so as to solve the problems of bulky size when packaged and high transportation costs.
Background Art
A leaf blower-vacuum apparatus is an outdoor cleaning tool for clearing and collecting fallen leaves. It blows away leaves on the ground by blowing or sucks the leaves into a bag by vacuum, and crushes the leaves before they enter the bag.
The currently available leaf blower-vacuum apparatuses are usually formed by two main parts of a body and a blower pipe, wherein the body comprises a housing, a motor, a fan blade, a safety switch, an air duct switching knob, a handle, etc., and the blower pipe is usually formed of an upper blower pipe and a lower blower pipe connected together; in addition, for their convenient use, some of them are provided with wheels attached to the lower blower pipe, so that when in use the apparatus can be held by a hand and operated on a lawn by running of the wheels.
However, since the currently available leaf blower-vacuum apparatuses adopt an activation structure formed by a combination of the housing and the blower pipe, when it comes to do the packaging, although the upper blower pipe can be detached from the housing and the upper blower pipe can be detached from the lower blower pipe by using a tool, the upper blower pipe and the lower blower pipe, after having been detached, cannot be nested together; furthermore, the wheeling mechanism is integral with the lower blower pipe and cannot be detached therefrom for packing, thus making the package bulky and transportation costs high when in mass production for customers. On the other hand, the installation and dismantlement are quite inconvenient and they have to be accomplished by means of tools.
Conventionally, a blower pipe is designed as consisting of two halves fixed by a bolt. There are many uncertainties surrounding a structure such as this: it has a bad appearance due to the use of a bolt for fixing, and in use dust will leak from the gap between the two halves; therefore the applicability, functionality and economy of the whole blower pipe cannot satisfy the requirements of an ever-changing society.
At the same time, as the standards in European Union for blower-vacuum apparatuses are constantly being upgraded, and the requirements as to the length of a blower pipe are constantly being adjusted, the currently available structure of the leaf blower-vacuum apparatus is not suitable for the new standards, and during the assembly, the ever increasing blower pipe length makes an assembled product bulky, leading to higher transportation costs.

Then the intermediate locking bolt 4 is tightened, such that the upper and the lower blower pipes 21, 22 are connected together in a secured way. It is also possible for the recess on the upper blower pipe to be designed on the lower blower pipe and the protruding tab on the lower blower pipe to be on the upper blower pipe, in the same way as the connection between the abovementioned body and the upper blower pipe.
The wheel assembly 3 is mounted onto the lower blower pipe 22 and the wheels are designed as in a ready to install configuration, so as not only to satisfy the functional requirements to the wheels, but also to have the wheel assembly 3 readily detachable from the blower pipe 2, thus making it quick and convenient during its assembling. It consists of a wheel bracket 32 and two wheels 31, the wheel bracket 32 is connected to a wheel shaft and two bores matching the upper pipe 221 and the lower pipe 222 of the lower blower pipe are provided on the wheel bracket 32. When in use, the wheel bracket is slipped directly onto the upper pipe 221 and the lower pipe 222, and a boss 225 is provided on the upper pipe or the lower pipe, so that after the wheel bracket 32 abuts against the boss 225, the wheel bracket is locked tight by a bolt 4, thus the wheel and the blower pipe are securely joined together, and the upper pipe 221 and the lower pipe 222 on the lower blower pipe are connected to each other by the wheel bracket 32. When it needs to be packaged, it is only necessary to loosen the bolt 4 so as to detach the wheel bracket 32, and then the lower blower pipe 22 can be inserted into the upper blower pipe 21, as shown in Fig.4.
Due to the fact that the above-described body, blower pipe and wheel assembly can not only be assembled quickly into the leaf blower-vacuum apparatus shown in Fig. 1, but can also be dismantled quickly, and the upper and lower blower pipes are nested together. Therefore, the present invention has reduced greatly the packaging volume and the transportation costs of the blower-vacuum apparatus, and has substantially enhanced the convenience, economy, aesthetic appeal and operability of the blower-vacuum apparatus.
