This game is suitable for a table or anywhere with a flat surface, it has a chargeable battery which can be plugged into any electrical socket.
Whist plugged in to electrical socket power pack will be changing even if the game is being played. So once charged it is suitable for indoor or outdoor use, their will be a light bar on the main board and each hand held device to indicate how much power is remaining.
Background
The game Poker has been out for many years and is a popular game.
Poker is traditionally played with cards and chips in most casinos and with groups of friends anywhere. The rules to this game do not differ in anyway shape or form, and is based on the rules of "Texas hold'em".
Object of invention It is designed to be a 2-8 player game which can be played with friends or family indoors or outdoors, on any flat surface via main electrical socket or power pack. What I am doing different is rather than it being played with chip and cards, it will all be electronic making it easier to set up and to pack away.
Summary of invention
Place the main board (flgurel) onto a table, plug into electrical socket (1) this will start to charge the power pack which is built in to the game. Then plug your hand held devices (figure 2) (24) into the main board (3). Then switch game on (2) once the game is switched on it will ask you to select how many players will be in the game, it will do this in two ways with sound in a language of your selection by pressing the language button (4) and also on screen instruction (9). Following the instruction press how many players you would like to play (7). Then make sure how ever many player you select that many hand held devices (figure 2) are then turned on (23) so you can type player's names in.
Press the button on the top of the hand held device (figure 2)(22) to make a cursor appear in box (16) then use the keypad (20) to type in your name and then press the "OK" button to indicate that you have finished, your name will then appear on the main board (figure 1) (8).
Once all the players have entered their names it will then ask you to select how many chips you want, press add chips button (26) To make a cursor appear in the chips screen (17) and then using the key pad again (20) type in how many chips you wish to start with. Once every one has finished, Player 1 will then have to select what the small blind will be using the keypad (20) then press "Ok" and then the big blind in the same way. (Theses instruction will be spoken and will also be written) if you make a mistake at anytime you can start the game again by pressing the restart button (14).
Now you have finished setting up you are ready to play.
Every player will then be dealt 2 cards (19) one at a time (referred to as pocket cards or the hole cards).
Once the cards have been dealt it will then be the player's decision if they want to call (18) the current bet which will be the big blind (the big blind, which is the highest amount bet at this point) which means to match it, fold (18) their hand with out betting if they don't like their cards, or raise (18) the bet by putting in more money. If a player raises a curser will appear in the chip screen (17) and then you bet how many chips you want to bet using the keypad (20) if you are happy with the bet press "Ok" and the chips will be added to the pot on the main board (figure 1)(11). Each player, starting with the player down of the big blind from the list of players names (8), makes their choice and acts. (A player's turn will be indicated by a light (10) green -already betted, red -folded & yellow -your turn) If a player raises (18) the bet, each player must now call the new amount, including those who may have already acted. If no player raises the big blind, then the player in that position may check (18), meaning they do not want to put more money in, or raise (18). II is important to note that if a players raises he may not raise again unless he was re-raised, The round of betting stops when all players have either folded or called the last raise.
Then three cards will be generated on the card screen (13) this is called the Flop.
These are the first of five community cards that all players can use, along with their pocket cards, to make the best possible poker hand. The standard poker hand ranks are used. The player in the small blind position is now first to act now and on every subsequent round of betting. They must make a decision as in pre-flop play, with one change: they can choose to check (18) if they don't want to bet or fold (18). Once again, the betting round ends only when all players have folded or called the last bet or raise.
Then another card is generated in the 4th slot on the card screen (13) (this is called the turn). There is another round of betting, exactly as after the flop, with the small blind seat being 1st to bet. When every one has finished the fifth and last community card, (this is called the River) wilt be generated in the last screen (13) There is one final round of betting. At this point (or before) if all but one player folds, the last player who didn't fold wins the pot (11). The players cards will then remain anonymous unless they choose to tell or show the other players what they have.
A showdown occurs when a player is called after the River, their cards will be read out via audio and also written in the information screen (9).
The 2 cards with the least value out of the 7 community card will not be counted and the winning hand will be displayed on the card screen (13) The pot (11) will then be added to the winners total on their chip screen (17) and their name will appear in the winners name screen (12).
The sound can be adjusted; the volume can be turned up/down or onloff (5) the speed (6) can also be changed to make the sound faster or slower, you can change and adjust this at any point of the game.
There is a power light on the main board (figure 1)(15) and also all hand held devices (figure2)(25) this indicates how much power is in the power packs once all the lights on the main board (figure 1) and the hand held devices figure2) are full you will be able to remove all the wires and play wireless (21).
On card screen (19) on all hand held devices (figure 2), the screen will have a tinted glass so only the play who uses each device can see what cards they have, to everyone else on an angle it will look blank.
