Abstract

The invention relates to an absorbent article, in particular to a breast nursing pad (1, 15) which has an absorbent core sandwiched between a liquid pervious inner layer (9), a substantially liquid impervious outer layer (6). The absorbent core comprises a perforated absorption layer (8) formed of a non-woven material.
