Abstract
A compact moulded spectacle stand designed for home use is able to hold or store up to four pairs of spectacles and/or sunglasses. It can be used by adults or children and can be adapted with suitable designs, e.g. faces to encourage use. Knobs extend from a face of the stand to support spectacle bridge sections. The knobs can not be detached from the stand.
Description
spectacle stand
Background
This invention is a home use device for holding or storing multiple pairs of spectacles (glasses). Many people now own more than one pair of spectacles as they may have different designs and colours or have different prescriptions and/or uses e.g. reading, distance or sunglasses.
People have reported problems with storage of their spectacles and on questioning keep them in places such as a handbag, dressing table or in a drawer when not in use. Some have reported regularly misplacing their spectacles.
Statement of Invention
To overcome the storage problem the spectacle stand holds up to 3 -4 pairs of spectacles on a compact moulded stand. This will help to prevent loss or damage to spectacles and can be used by adults or children.
The advantages of this invention is that it is portable and safe to use as it forms complete mould I.e. the knobs which support the bridge of the spectacles does not separate from the stand therefore it is safe to have around young children. It is visible and likely to be kept in the same place therefore preventing misplacement of spectacles.
Drawing The following drawings provide a description of the spectacle stand.
Figure 1 Shows the frontal view of the spectacle stand.
Figure 2 Shows the stand from a front/left oblique view Figure 3 Shows the stand from the left view. The knobs 1 support the bridge of the glasses.
