Abstract
A rotating wire brush 4 attached to electric motor or a petrol engine 3 provides a circular motion to the brush 5 causing the brush 5 to rotate. The brush 5, on contact with the grooves in the block pavement removes moss, weeds, plants, debris and other unwanted material.
Description
Block Pavement Cleaing Equipment This invention relates to a device that enables removal of moss, weeds and other unwanted plants and debris from the grooves of block pavements and other such surfaces.
Currently moss and weeds are removed with use of chemicals which are hazardous to the enviroment or tools that are very labour intensive.
To overcome these issues, the present invention uses a rotating wire brush attached to the drive mechanism. The brush may be angled such that it provides a maximum contact to the groove or space between the block pavement and other surfaces.
The circular rotation movement of the brush on contact will remove the moss, weeds, debris and other unwanted material.
The invention can be a portable and brush rotation is provided by the mechanical coupling powered by any combination of the following source(s): 1. Battery.
2. Electric supply.
3. petrol engine.
A large device can have any number of brushes driven in parallel.
The brush(s) is housed in a protected casing so as to minimise the contact with the user.
The invention will now be solely by way of example and with reference to accompanying drawings in which: Figurel Shows the basic structure of the Block Pavement Cleaning Equipment using battery or electric supply.
Figure 2 Shows the basic structure of the Block Pavement Cleaning Equipment using petrol engine.
In figure 1, the Block Pavement Cleaning Equipment which consists of vertical member 1 to which battery I electric supply 2 and motor drive 3 is attached providing a circular motion to the brush 4 within a protection hoousing 5 yet providing maximum exposure to block pavement or similar surface.
In figure 2, the Block Pavement Cleaning Equipment which consists of vertical member 1 to which petrol based engine drive 2 is attached providing a circular motion to the brush 3.
Claims (6)
- Claims 1. The Block Pavement Cleaing Equipment a consisting of a wire brush is rotated by a electric motor to remove the moss, weed and other unwanted debris on contact by friction.
