Abstract
There is a tank 3 containing a fluid 4 connected to a vehicle exhaust pipe 6. The gases flow through inlet pipe 1 and the filtering action of the fluid 4 separates impurities allowing cleaner gas to be released into the atmosphere through outlet pipe 2. There is a sump 7 which may be drained to remove collected impurities by twisting a drain plug 8. The tank may be secured to vehicle bodywork by lugs 9. There is a header tank 11 with a filler 12. The header tank is connected to the tank by a tap 10. The cleaned gases are cooled so it is feasible to fit a plastic exhaust pipe to outlet pipe 2.

BACKGROUND
This invention relates to the purification of exhaust fumes Exhaust fumes pass through a tank containing a mixture of three fluids The impurities are retained in the fluid releasing a cooler and cleaner air into the atmosphere

STATEMENT OF INVENTION
Exhaust fumes are passed through a mixture of three fluids that are 1. Colourless inodorous and transparent 2. Unctuous inflammable substance of animal vegetable and mineral matter 3. A substance that prevents hardening or congealing This mixture is contained in a tank that is connected to an exhaust system that allows the fumes to pass through the mixture retains the impurities and releases a cooler and cleaner air into the atmosphere A plastic tail pipe can complete the exhaust system as the hot fumes are now cooled
