Abstract

A holder (2) for a radio frequency identification tag (4), which holder comprises a first body part (6), a second body part (8), a clip member (10), and an antenna-receiving member (12), and the holder (2) being such that the first and the second body parts (6, 8) define a chamber (14); the first and the second body parts (6, 8) are a sliding fit into the clip member (10) such that the first and the second body parts (6, 8) are retained together by the clip member (10); the antenna-receiving member (12) is retained in position by the first and the second body parts (6, 8) when the first and the second body parts (6, 8) are retained together by the clip member (10); the chamber (14) is for receiving radio frequency identification tag parts comprising a printed circuit board (15), a battery (16), and electrical connection means (18) connecting the printed circuit board (15) to the battery (16); and the antenna-receiving member (12) is for receiving an antenna (20) which forms a part of the radio frequency identification tag (4).
