Abstract
A protective eye wind shield comprises a moulded flexible attachment to the side of the glasses. The wind shield may further comprise a slot to insert the aim or temple of a spectacles frame, an arm holder to stabilise and hold the eye shield in place and vent holes. The shield is constructed using a moulded flexible material and the arm holder ensures that the shield is balanced in line with the glasses frame. The eye shield may have a curvature to deflect wind and to closely fit the head of a wearer.
Description
RN-RTL-1008 Specification
Eye wind shield (designed to fit on to standard glasses frames Many people suffer from watering eyes due to wind/cold weather, especially those that wear glasses.
This is component is designed to be fitted with a sliding action on to the side pieces of conventional glasses, to protect the eyes from wind being channelling between the eye and the glasses resulting in watering of the eyes.
The shape of the shield is designed to protect the eye from the cold and wind eliminating 95% of watering of the eye and hence improving vision In outdoor conditions and alleviating soreness resulting from constant rubbing of the eyes.
Construction Moulded from soft malleable plastic the leading front edge being rounded Into a curved form to-; a-To stop wind from entering between frame and eye.
b-To form the curvature to hold the shield In place.
c-The curved form deflects the wind away from the eyes.
d-The curved form flattens to maintain contact with the wearers head and ensure all round wind deflection.
e-The frame is slid though from the inside of the shield and into a retention device at the end of the shield.
f-The Glasses are then worn as normal (the shield being between the frame and side of the head.) g-No other fixing required. 2.
