Abstract

The opener body 1 has cutting edges, the corkscrew 3 inserts into the stopper then the body 1 moves down over the wine bottle top until fully engaged into the stopper, the cutting edges 2 will cut the wrapper, when the arms 4 are moved the stopper and cut wrapper will be removed together.

Description

Wine bottle stopper and wrapper remover This invention relates to a opener, which removes the wine bottle stopper and wrapper together.
When the wine is needed from a glass wine bottle, the wrapper and stopper from a wine bottle needs be to removed, a opener is used to extract the wine bottle stopper.
However, the use of a conventional openers, do not remove the wrapper from the wine bottle.
Furthermore, it is usual for another operation to remove the wrapper before the opener can be used for the stopper the removal.
To overcome this problem, the invention proposed will cut the wrapper and remove the stopper and wrapper in the one operation.
The cutting of the wrapper is done by and number of cutting edges on the opener body, which will cut the wrapper and removes the stopper together.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows opener used for stopper and wrapper removal.
Figure 2 shows opener, screw with cutting edges for the wrapper cutting.
In figure 1, the opener includes cutting edges 2 which are mounted inside the body 1. The opener inserts the screw 3 into the stopper, the opener body moves down over the wine bottle top, after the screw 3 is fully engaged into the stopper by the downward motion, the cutting edges 2 will be at the correct position to cut the wrapper. With the combined turning action of the screw 3 this will cut the wrapper with the cutting edges 2.
When the arms 4 are moved the stopper and cut wrapper will be removed together. 2.

  1. Claims 1. The cutting edges on the inside of the opener body will cut the wrapper.
  2. 2. The cutting edges according to claim 1 will cut the wrapper at the same time as the screw is removes the stopper.
  3. 3. The cutting edges according to claim 2 will remove the stopper and cut wrapper together
