Abstract

A shopping bag which is foldable to a collapsed condition has fasteners 1 to hold it in that condition and fasteners 2 to join the collapsed bag to another such collapsed bag. With the fasteners on the body of the bag as shown, the bag is folded in half and then in half again about vertical fold lines, and then rolled up to the collapsed condition. Alternatively, the fasteners may be on a soft (Figure 4 and 5) or hard (Figures 6-8) additional band of material or members which is/are attached to the bag or its handles and can be made of fabric or a plastic. The band or members form a sleeve around the folded bag.

Description

DESCRIPTION
A folding shopping with a soft or hard sleeve.
This invention relates to a folding shopping bag with two pairs of fasteners.
Nowadays the amount of usage of disposable plastic bags is very high and still increase. Because they are free and not enough attention is paid to recycle them plenty of those disposable plastic bags can be seen almost everywhere.
To overcome the mentioned problems the invention proposes a folding shopping bag with a soft or hard sleeve which gives following advantages: -can be reused many times -after folding the bag takes a little place.
-each bag can be attached to the other one what is very handy when the bags are stored or carried.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings: -figure 1 shows the shopping bag with two pairs of fasteners 1 and 2 -figure 2 shows the way the bag should be folded and then rolled up.
-figure 3 shows the way where the fully folded bag is being attached to the second one by pair fasteners 2 -figure 4 shows the bag with a soft sleeve 3 (with 2 sets of fasteners 1 and 2) which is attached to the bag -figure 5 shows a bag with a soft sleeve 3 (with 2 sets of fasteners 1 and 2) which is attached to the holder 4 -figure 6 shows a shopping bag with a hard sleeve 5 -figure 7 shows an enlargement of the sleeve 5 with fasteners 1 and 2.
-figure 8 shows a fully folded bag and the way it is put into the hard sleeve 5.
This description will refer many times to two sets of fasteners. Therefore through the whole description first pair of fasteners will be marked as 1 and the second pair as 2. The pair 1 will always be used for preventing a folded bag from unfolding itself and the second pair 2 will always be used for attaching a one folded bag to the other one.
Figure 1 shows a shopping bag with two purposely and specifically located sets of fasteners 1 and 2. In order to get a shopping bag (after taking a shopping out of it) ready to be stored or to be attached to the other one the process of folding and rolling up have to take place. Figure 2 shows all stages from a to e, how such a process should be done to get a outcome which gives a correct working position for all fasteners.
Having folded the bag twice in half, the bag which is now in the shape of a strip, is being rolled up. When that is complete the pair of fasteners 1 secure the bag and prevent the bag from unfolding itself. Now the bag is in the shape of a roller and the second pair of fasteners 2 symmetrically located on both sides of it are exposed as shown in figure 2e. Figure 3 shows how two already folded bags are attached to each other thanks to fasteners 2.
The same outcome i.e. a secured folded bag with a possibility ofjointing one shopping bag to the other one of the same kind can also be achieved by: a) using an additional strip of material 3 (with two pairs of fasteners 1 and 2) which is attached to the side of a bag as shown on figure 4 or using a strip of material 3 (with two pairs of fasteners 1 and 2) which is attached to a holder 4 as shown on figure 5 Having folded and rolled up a bag as it was shown before (figure 2) the bag is being wrapped around by the additional strip of material 3 which has two pairs of fasteners 1 and 2 attached to it as shown on figure 4 and 5.
b) using a hard sleeve as shown on figure 6. The sleeve can be made as a one single part or divided in two as shown on figure 7.
Having folded and rolled up the bag, the bag is being put between two halves of sleeve 5. Fasteners 1 on the split surface are used for jointing the halves together and fasteners 2 located symmetrically on the surface of the sleeve are used for attach one sleeve to the other one. This solution provides an additional use for the sleeve. After taking the bag out of the sleeve 5 the sleeve can be used as a comfortable handle.
