Abstract

A motor vehicle having a one or more exterior side mirrors 1 may have a system for keeping said mirrors clean. Said mirror may be equipped with a plurality of jets, nozzles or apertures located at the minor end of a flexible hose 4. A pressurised air supply may be provided by a means to supply compressed air which may be from a vehicle engine 7 or from an electric motor as part of the vehicle heating and cooling system. Air may be directed through hoses 5 which may be located within the vehicle dashboard. Means to heat the air and also to regulate the temperature and flow of the air 8, 9 may be provided on the dashboard of said vehicle.

Description

1 2455992 Side mirrors with ventilation This invention relates to a side mirrors equipped with ventilation.
When drivers of vehicles have to drive during rainy weather that means that rain drops fall on outer parts of the vehicle, they cannot cause any harm in case they fall on roof, hood, wheels, front and rear windows with wipers, but when rain drops fall on rear view mirror, it always involves some serious difficulties when vehicle is moving from one lane to the other, and view of the following vehicles is very vague, especially if it is happening during the dark hours. To overcome this problem the present invention proposes a side mirrors of vehicle equipped with ventilation for removing rain drops will operate in a way when rain drops are removed by air pressure coming from an opening located on the top of mirrors coming via flexible tubes from an engine.
Blowing off of raindrops from the side mirrors guarantees clear rear view at the following vehicle without any vague images.
Preferably that temperature of air stream coming from the engine to mirrors could be regulated from cold to heat.
This invention will now be described solely by way of example arid with refrence to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the right-side rear view mirror of the vehicle without outer cover for
description of inner setting of equipment.
Figure 2 shows rear view of the vehicle provided by side mirrors equipped by equipment for blowing off raindrops and system of air pressure supply for doing so.
Figure 1 shows right-side rear view mirror 1 equipped with equipment located on the top of the mirror 2 for blowing off of raindrops. Equipment 2 has a shape of hollow, flat, extended tube, with two outlets 3,4.One of which has a round, extended shape 3, serving for an air pressure supply through a flexible high durability tube 5 which is connected with it. The other outlet 4 has a long, narrow slot around the whole mirror and serves as opening for air pressure, evenly pointed downwards in order to blow off raindrops from the mirror.
Figure 2 shows vehicle which is supplied with side rear view mirrors 2 equipped with air pressure supply for blowing off raindrops. Raindrops will be blown away from the mirrors 2 due to air pressure 4 coming from equipment located on the top of mirrors 3.Openings from which air pressure is coming are pointed downwards in order to avoid a situation when raindrops are getting in the equipment. Air pressure is supplied via flexible, high-durability tubes 5 coming from mirrors 2 through door openings of the vehicle 6.In salon they led behind panel and arte connected with engine 7 supplying air pressure coming from device panel. Air pressure coming from engine 7heated exactly by the same principle as the air in the vehicle heater except that system is set up separately from the heater. Engine 7 supplying air pressure is connected with two equipments 8,9, from which one that is inbuilt in the panel as a button switches it in 8.The other 9 is regulating temperature of the supplied air also appearing is the panel as regulator.
