Abstract
A collapsible dolly for film and video cameras. The dolly is capable of moving a camera along a wire cable to give a smooth tracking shot to film and video footage.
Description
S
Greatest dolly in the world The invention relates to a device for tracking shots used in filming and video known as dolly.
When the dolly is assembled this gives a smooth tracking shot across in either direction depending on if the tracking shot is to follow the action to the left or right.
The use of conventional dolly's are to bulky and time consuming to assemble and need large rooms on vans to carry them from one place to the next The sole purpose of the greatest dolly in the world is to transport it anywhere and use it anywhere, and it will assemble Within minutes once transported onto the location where it's to be used Figure 1 show the greatest dolly in two parts folded in the middle section and how it will look when it's opened up and standing on legs, the numbers on drawing one shows what each part of the invention is designed for I middle section the bar going across 2 left and right arms rested and securely locked onto the middle section 3 bottom left and right legs secured and locked onto the middle section 4 right and left arm extended outwards right and left leg extended downwards 6 metal that the right and left arms of the dolly rest and lock onto 7 metal that the right and left leg of the dolly rest and lock onto 8 welded metal ring on the left and right arms that the wire will connect to 9 welded ring that the right and left arm will connect to wire extension on the right and left legs of the dolly to keep it stable once upright 11 a metal lock that the weight of the left and right legs locks onto 12 metal screw that locks the right and left arm into place so there's no movement 13 metal screw that locks left and right leg into position so there's no movements Figure 2 shows what the greatest dolly in the world will look like when assembled and in action 1 stainless wire that runs across from left arm to the right arm stretched 2 rigging screw fork to fork that tightens up the wire to keep it straight 3 D shape stainless shackle that goes inside the welded ring and holds the wire 4 D shape stainless shackle that goes inside the welded ring and holds the wire S stainless steel wire stretched to secure the structure so there's no movement 6 rigging screw that tightens up the wire running from right leg to right arm 7 D shape stainless shackle that goes inside the welded ring and holds the wire 8 stainless steel wire stretched to secure the structure so there's no movement 9 rigging screw that tightens up the wire running from left leg to left arm single block pulley that the video or film camera is attached to -I-, 4z.
Figure 3 gives details description on what goes where and what does what on the greatest dolly in the world Figure 4 shows detailed close up of the right side of the greatest dolly in the world when opened up and functioning; this drawing applies to the left hand side of the dolly since everything on the right side is the same as on the left hand side Figure 5 the drawing show how the greatest dolly in the world opens out and closes in

Claims (5)
- Claims 1. Greatest dolly in the world compromises of doing tracking shots for film and video easy to ensemble and to take down.Greatest dolly in the world is easy to transport and set up anywhere
- 2. Greatest dolly in the world. According to claim I it will do tracking shots in smooth transition to give the moving along effect known as tracking shot to film makers and video makers alike
- 3. once the greatest dolly has been up right a stainless wire is attacked to either end one end will have a D shape stainless shackle once the wire is secured it is then stretched across to the other side of the dolly where It is secured onto a rigging screw fork to fork and it is then tightened to give it the right tension to hold a video or a film camera suspended on a single block pulley where it can be smoothly pulled along to get the tracking shot done
- 4. the right arm and leg are secured by a stainless steel wire attacked to a D shaped shackle at the top of the arm and stretched down to be secured by a rigging fork to fork so that it might be tightened and secures so there is no tension in the right arm above and its held stable while the action of tracking shots are carried out
- 5. The weight leg attachments are additional secure attachments to keep the greatest dolly in the world firmly on the ground and stable while doing the tracking shot
