Abstract

The socket comprises two plastic sleeves 1 and 2. A first sleeve 1 is positioned in a hole in the ground and surrounded by concrete 4. The second sleeve 2 is proportioned to fit within the first sleeve in a removable fashion. The post is preferably made from heavy duty injection moulded plastic. In use, if a post 3 contained within the post holder rots, the second sleeve is easily removed and a new post fit therein without excavation of the concrete. The socket is designed for use with posts for fences and pergolas etc.

* 2454911 TITLE Easy post repair USES To replace all types and sizes of fence,pergola posts any posts that are set in concrete Lround square e.t.c.J BACKGROUND When a fence post rots the concrete has to be removed this means alot of timemoney and labour to remove concrete.
ADVANTAGES To overcome this the present invention proposes two sleeves one of which is concreted into the ground and the other which slots onto the post.Which intum slots in the one in the concrete.
DRAWINGS Figure 1 shows when renewing a fence post you need to remove the old concrete Figure 2 shows once fitted its very easy to replace the post,no need to remove concrete.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION Once fence post rots its very easy to replace.Detach fences from old post,pull out sleeve,take out rotted post,replace with new post.Slot it back into the one in the ground,attach panels back to new post,alot less time and money spent on labour no ground disturbance no more concrete just a straight forward post swap MATERIAL The easy post repair would be made from heavy duty plastic [injection moldedj to elimate rotting of the post

Claims (4)

  1. Claims -Easy Post Repair 1. A ground support for posts of all shapes and sizes, (fence, pergola, posts etc) supported in the ground by concrete.
  2. 2. It consists of two sleeves, one for the post and one that is set in concrete.
  3. 3. It is not necessary to take out the sleeve that's in the concrete.
  4. 4. No removal of old concrete.
    This enables one to change a fence, pergola, post etc in 10 minutes not three hours.
