Abstract
A sanitary towel is slight raised and more absorbent towards a rear section which is placed in the intergluteal cleft in order to prevent backwards leaking of menstrual blood. The towel may taper off towards a front section. The towel may be fixed to a user's underwear by means of adhesive strips. The towel may be shorter than conventional towels.

DESCRIPTION
NO LEAKS NITE TOWEL
LITTLE GEM
Having been troubled for years with heavy and severe periods and enduring the restrictions associated with this condition i.e. nigJtt leaks, soaked beds, staining of under wear and night clothes, with another night's sleep ruined, led to the development of this product.
Being plagued by heavy periods places many restrictive life choices on women, such as, can I stay at social functions which require an over night stay, and affects holiday decisions, when, where and who to holiday with. These worries, which relate directly * to the embarrassing situations caused by nighttime leaks are debilitating for women.
Having searched the market personally, for a suitable and effective nighttime towel yielded poor results. Following this search, a survey of 100 women of different ages was carried out and established amongst other revelations that primarily, night time towels only came in the style and size similar to that of hammocks, extremely large, bulky and completely useless.
The alternative is to use a tampon. Not all women like the concept of using tampons and the extra long towel is so bulky and uncomfortable no sense of a real night sleep can be had! This was and is not good enough an alternative is needed and I think I have the answer.
This towel is designed to eliminate night leaks during the menstrual cycle. A prototype has been used with a number of women with promising results.
The towel is approximately 13cm in length and no more that 7.5cm width (figure 1), the towel is more absorbent at the rear sitting, snugly between buttocks and is more absorbent to eliminate the flow of liquid onto bed and bedclothes (Figure 1.2) The towel will taper off towards the front to ensure a comfortable fit and sleep. The towel will be fastened to underwear with adhesive strips; it will be snugly fitted between buttocks The towel will stop night leaks and may even eliminate the need to get up at night and check for leaks.
