Detailed description
Modification I The invention object covers the dorsum (outer side) of a hand (1) by a shielding cover (2) and has horizontal incision cut (3) as shown in Figure 1 and 2 This cut preferably originates on the level of approximately 1 cm above a level of the thumb and horizontally approximately 1 cm off the thumb margin It may be of any desired % of length, but does not approach very close to or does not touch the margins (5)-Figures 1 and 2. It may be opened by fingers of the other hand in order to help fixing the invention over the processing hand and in order to provide visual access to the keypads or other information for the owner of confidential information solely. The invention is still further fixated by use of hand fastener (4) Figures 1 and 8 Figure 2 shows invention o the same principal but without hand fastener In this case the size of "cover" has to be sufficient and or the "cover" may be made of stretchable material or have stretchable-ribbon margins in order to cover well the hand and the keypads of cash/paying machine A "fastener" is preferably circular or partially circular in shape and of stretchable manner in order to provide sliding over the hand function in any direction. That sliding will allow the best adjustment of the size of the invention to the size of the hand or and of keypads or and of any protection-needed area of confidentiality. It may be more than 1 in number Viewing" cut may be replaced by a hole or a transparent plastic pass.
Functional principles of this Modification apply to any other Modification Preferably it's made of material impermeable for light and sight -that allows maximally restricted area of possible unauthorized exposure from over the shoulders Optional Figure 3 and 4 The parallel vertical margins (5) may attach to each other from the same side by different means-example -sticky or Scotch tapes zipper, etc The object may be folded along the middle horizontal line becoming a purse or a pouch, being closed from above by fastener (4) Materials: Cover-any material compatible with hand-wear-examples-cloth, thin folding plastic, cotton in case of plastic allergy, polyethylene, even lever Fastener-any material compatible with hand wear, examples-stretchable ribbon with 1 or 2 ends or elastic, plastic, metal bracelet, etc. Advantage of this Modification: * It is very restricted area for viewing access to the confidentiality data or process, especially from over the shoulders.
* It may become elegant and fashionable especially if combined with decoration-garment like fastener, f e. bracelet. In comparison with Modification 3 allows better protection against allergy if made of cotton The principles of this Modification may be incorporated into wear object or garment-Modification 2 (see below) Modification 2 This is the preferred and the main form of my invention While in protection process the upper -fingers part of the glove (1) is moving forward, the (2) lower-part becoming functioning the cover" The horizontal cut is situated on the dorsal-outer side of the glove much lower-approximately by 2d finger length (Figure5) The palm inner side of the glove has vertical cut towards the finger base (6) (Figure6) preferably to edges of which stretchable ribbon is attached(4) In non-functioning" state the cuts are closed (by zipper, Scotch or buttons, etc)While functioning as a protector' the vertical cut has to be opened, widened, the upper fingers" part of the glove moves up, allowing the fingers of the hand to be cancelled under this cover The other hand opens the horizontal cut of the cover, and the invention functions as in Modification 1 The same principle is applied to incorporation of invention into the sleeve The hand-near end of which (7) has vertical cut6) approximately of 2d finger length When opened and widened it allows a sleeve to become a "cover" while the outer part of the sleeve is pulled over the hand and or over the keypads.. It has a horizontal viewing cut too (3) that functions according to the described above for other variations of the invention In a "sleeve" condition the cuts are closed in a manner similar to other modification or in a glove The detailed description and advantages of the preferred form of this invention The preferred form of the invention is hand wrapping or hand covering device which may be in a form of a wear garment It may be in the outer appearance of a glove or a mitten or the like When functioning it transforms into a hand shield permitting the authorized user of any confidential process or information to perform this confidential process privately thus protecting the data from unauthorized view over the shoulder or by use of any recording device For the purpose of convenience only I will refer to the outer appearance of this invention as a "glove" appearance It is understandable by those skilled in the arts that it refers to the whole spirit of our invention which as a whole or in any of it's embodiments may be of many variations The confidentiality device relates to the hand wrapping or hand covering piece of material including covering fingers and inner (palm) and outer (dorsal or back of a hand) surfaces of the hand.
According to individual preferences or fashion, the fingers may be covered each finger separately which is called the glove form or the fingers may be covered by uninterrupted piece of material as a whole which is called "the mitten" form. (Figures 10 A and B) Tips of fingers may be covered or uncovered again according to individual preferences or fashion (Figure 10 C) For the purpose of convenience only I will describe two parts of the invention as "a finger part" and the "cover part" (Figure 10 A) The outer front surface of the device is adjacent to the outer, dorsal or back surface of a hand. For the convenience only we call it the front side or surface of the device.
The inner rear, palm surface of the device is adjacent to the inner palm surface of the hand. For the convenience only we call it the rear side or surface of the device (Figures 11, 12, 16 A, B, C and D) The front surface of the device may comprise an aperture which extends along the plane of this front surface (Figure 10 A). For convenience only we call it "front aperture" This aperture comprises means of I fixating the device over the hand which performs confidentiality process by the fingers or digits of the other hand, being inserted through said aperture, and 2 it comprises means of providing view of the keypads or any secret data to the authorised owner of such data only The preferred minimum size or diameter of said aperture being sufficient enough to provide such view and preferably is sufficient enough to be opened and widened by 2 tips of digits of the second hand (Figure 13 and 14) It's understandable by those skilled in the arts that the invention may have no aperture at all if it's front surface or part of it is made of material which is permeable or partially permeable for light so only the authorized user is capable of viewing through it from a close distance Or this front aperture may be made of various forms and designs, examples only without departing from the whole scope of this invention are a cut, preferably at least 1 5-2 cm in length for the convenience of the insertion through and manipulation by the digits in order to modulate and to regulate the exact angle of viewing necessary for convenient and safe vision of the keypads of the ATM, or computer or any locking mechanism or any document or any cash or the like The said aperture may be made of a round nature or the like thus being uncovered or covered by a flap of material which is semi or completely detached (Figures 15 A, B) If so it may be covered by a plastic like material transparent for light and thus obliterating the need for digits of the supporting hand to be inserted through said aperture, but possibly in need only of moving the said aperture together with the whole front covering surface of the device into the most favourable position for viewing the confidential data or process It's understandable by those skilled in the art that the said aperture may be made by scissors or another cutting instrument anywhere on the front outer surface of the device preferably excluding it's borders, preferably on the upper inner area of it's surface for better vision through said aperture because of the anatomy of the hand. For example if said aperture has been made too adjacent to the wrist border of the device the aperture apparently falls against back of a hand when the "finger part" of the device has been moved forward off the fingers of the hand which performs the necessary operation, thus making a view through said aperture not so easy, and in order to overcome this difficulty the user probably will have to move the device much further off his hand thus minimizing the remaining covering surface over the operating digits So the preferred area for making this aperture is inner upper front surface of the material shielding back of the hand It's understandable by those skilled in the art that said aperture may be left open or closed by any attaching means, without departing from the scope of our invention, examples only for such means are zipper, buttons, adhesive patch and the like.
The rear palm surface of the device comprises an aperture which preferably starts from, but not restricted to, and comprises the base of the "finger part" of the device and is adjacent to the base of digits of the hand.(Figures 11, 12) It may be made anywhere on the rear surface of the device The said aperture may comprise the distal wrist border of the device or it's part The functional aim of said aperture is to provide undisturbed and easy movement of the device along the hand forward off the digits, and to provide sufficient area of contact between the digits of a user and the surface of any confidential object or means for confidential processing, for example, the keypads of ATM It may be designated so that when the said aperture may be widened by opening and opposing it's sides or borders and moving it's sides or borders to opposite direction, thus further transforming the material of the front and rear surfaces of the device into the shield for better concealing and covering the surface of the operating hand and it's digits and for providing the bigger area of free contact between said digits and the keypads of ATM or the like It's understandable by those skilled in the art that said rear aperture may be made of various forms and designs without departing from the scope and spirit of our invention Examples only of different designs are represented by Figures 16 A, B, C, D and E The size of said aperture when it's sides and borders are opposed or not has to be sufficient enough to provide sufficient area of contact between a digit or digits of an authorized user and between confidentiality object or means for confidential process like keypads of ATM As said about the front aperture, the mode of securing ends or borders of the rear aperture in a particular design when said sides and borders being approximated for example when the device is used only as a wear garment, the mode of securing such borders may be in vanous designs and forms without departing from the scope of this invention The examples only are buttons, zipper, adhesive patch, etc Mode and sequence of operation of this preferred form of the invention.
This device may be used as a regular wear garment It may be made of any appropriate material as such Without departing from the scope of this invention examples only may be wool, lever or any other fashionable material When a user approaches ATM or is preparing to perform any confidential process, he may either firstly move the device forward off his fingers, then widen the rear aperture and then make the contact of his fingers with confidential object or means for confidential processing through said rear aperture Or vice versa a user may firstly widen the rear aperture by opposing the sides and borders of said rear aperture, and then may move the said device forward providing his fingers or digits with the necessary freedom to articulate under the resultant covering material and to be in direct contact with the surface of ATM keypads or with the surface of any confidential object (Figures 13, 14) The front aperture then may be opened and widened when it's sides and borders are being opposed to each other and moved to opposite direction from each other by the fingers of the user's second hand, preferably being inserted through said aperture thus stabilizing the device over the operating hand and allowing the authorized user to view the keypads and correctly perform the needed manipulation The angle and area of such viewing may be selectively regulated by widening of said front aperture to the needed extent If a user wants to withdraw cash from a cash machine and intends to conceal the amount of cash, the confidentiality device may be stabilized over the manipulating hand by appropriate design ( Figure 12) or appropriate stabilizing means preferably stretchable, for example a strap.
Advantages of this form of invention The main advantage of this preferred form of our invention is that distinguishing it from other inventions of the similar group, it provides means of being the security advice and everyday wear garment at the same time This gives a user the advantage of performing a secret manipulation in an elegant, convenient and less drawing attention manner, which is particularly important in familiar surroundings. This preferred form of our invention by the possibility and availability of it's different designs, provides a manufacture with the opportunity to combine in one device the object of security with features of fashion, elegance, advertisement and or security instruction In cold climate this invention may have an apparent additional function and advantage of warming the hand while the digits are in the process of articulation The same principles of this invention may be incorporated into part of another wear garment-a sleeve As illustrated in Figures 17 A, B, C and 0 The distal (approaching wrist and hand) part of a sleeve may comprise a side or rear cut or aperture on it's side or rear surface(Figure 17 B), which includes or comprises wrist distal border or part of it The length of said cut or aperture may be of several cm When being opened or when the sides or borders of said aperture being moved to opposite directions such manipulation in the said manner allows the digits of the hand of a user to be in direct contact with keypads of an ATM or with any other confidential object.
Also when opened by moving the sides or borders of said aperture to opposite directions (Figurel7 C), said aperture provides the remaining wrapping material of the front surface of the said sleeve with more extensibility which allows the remaining material of the sleeve to be easily pulled over the digits of a hand and to cover the back of the hand with it's digits for secure articulation under the said resultant "cover"(Figure 17 D).
In case a sleeve is made of stretchable enough material, like wool for example, such sleeve doesn't have to comprise a rear or side aperture at all, because, according to the common sense, it may be manipulated in such manner as to be stretchable enough to provide sufficient "cover" over the back of a hand with it's digits by possibility of pulling it's front surface over the back of the hand.
Another aperture on the front surface of the sleeve material in size sufficient for viewing trirougri said aperture (as also described in the glove" form) and also in size sufficient for second hand digit or digits to be inserted through said aperture This front aperture provides means for opposing sides and borders of said aperture by moving it's sides and borders to the opposite direction and thus providing view of the keypads or any other confidential object or process through said aperture.(Figures 17 A and D).
As in the "glove form' said front aperture also provides means of stabilising the shielding front "cover" material over the operating hand and may be of any form or design Or, as in the "glove form", the material of the front surface of the sleeve may comprise a part of permeable or semi-permeable for light material for viewing, thus eliminating the need for front aperture at all I0 Modification 3 This Modification is made of thicker less folding material-synthetic or natural like plastic, carton, lever that is impermeable or partially permeable for sight from close distance only (figure8) Its cover may be of different form-for example-round, triangular, oval etc It's made of a cover part" (2)'attached to a hand or a wrist (1) by a hand fastener (4) It may optionally have "viewing" transparent pass, cut or hole (3) As in Modification 1 the fastener may be of different material and of different shape and of mode of attachment to the cover-above or under the cover-for example being attached as a ring for a finger under the cover It may be more than 1 in number and be attached to the cover in different positions-on the wrist, palm or base of fingers position preferably in stretchable, complete or partially circular manner in order to allow the invention to slide over the hand in any direction according to the same principle of adjustment of needed protection area for size of the cover, mentioned for modification 1 In case of a bigger hand the invention may slide up The fastener may be of stable design in a manner to be hooked" or otherwise attached to a watch It may be of different transparency parts-for example-while the most transparent part is a hole or pass serving for viewing Optionally the invention may be folded along it's horizontal middle line (Figure 9) with margins (5) attached to each other from the same side of the cover (2) by means similar, for example, to means in Modification 1 Optionally the cover may have 2 additional pockets (8) for containing credit/debit cards Advantages of this modification: It's simple easy and faster during hand processing, it may be operated by use of one hand only-the same processing hand or to shield the other processing hand Though, being less folding it may allow less protection from over the shoulders comparing to Modification 1 It may be a carrier of advertisement or finance confidentiality protection instructions.
Generally the invention may be made of combination of any Modifications or and their's parts.
