Abstract
A radio transmitter located in a mobile phone sends a signal to a receiver that is associated with a mislaid item of personal property such as keys, wallets or purses. The receiver will trigger an alert of approximately 85 decibels which aids the owner when searching for their misplaced property.

Personal Item Locator (incorporated within a mobile phone)
Background
This application on a moile phone will solve the problem of the time consuming searching of personal, household or office items that are easily misplaced i.e, keys wallets purses remote control units, pens, calculators etc.
Statement of invention.
Our invention is as follows: To have a transmitter inserted into a mobile phone and then when activated will forward a signal to a receiver which would set off an alarm of approximately 85 decibels. The transmitter will have a range of approximately 25meters and be able to signal through walls and floors and activate a receiver. The receiver would be attached to any personal, household or office item.
The advantages of this invention.
Research shows that on average an adult spends one year looking for misplaced items, if they could press a button on their mobile phone to locate these items this time could be better spent. Most people nowadays cany a mobile phone on them at all times, if this is misplaced it is easily located by ringing it from another phone.
Detailed description
Mobile phones have hundreds of applications i.e videos, cameras, torch lights, ring tones radios, mp3 players etc. With a small transmitter added to a mobile phone and receivers attached to any often misplaced item our invention is possible. The major phone companies could easily add this application to their specification when making the phones and could supply the receivers as part of their package.
Claims (2)
- Claims 1. A transmitter located in a mobile phone that will aid a person or persons to locate an item within a 2Smt radius.
- 2. A transmitter located in a mobile phone according to claim I in which a radio signal is sent to a receiver.3 A transmitter located in a mobile phone according to claim 2 in which a signal of approximately 85 decibels will alert the person to where the receiver has been placed.4 A transmitter located in a mobile phone according to claim 3 Receivers attached to items generally carried by a person on a daily basis including keys, wallets and purses.
