Abstract

A basket ball returning device for returning a basketball to a basket ball player after the ball has passed through a basketball hoop. Preferably the returning device is frusto-conical in shape and formed from a number of rings of diminishing size that are joined together with strong flexible material, that allow the returning device to be easily folded and stowed away. During use the wider end of the basketball returning device is supported by stands and placed underneath the basketball hoop with the narrower end of the receiver positioned to allow the ball to be directed towards the player's feet. Preferably the narrower end of the basketball returning device is weighted. A back fence (fig 3) may be attached to the basketball returning device to catch balls that are thrown sideways.

Description

1 2453780 Basketball receiver This invention allows baskethall and netball players to throw the ball through the hoop and receive the ball from the apparatus without the player going to collect the ball after going through the hoop.
The basketball receiver will improve the player shots, where moving the apparatus toy position to score points.
The basketball receiver must be able to assemble easy. The receiver that collects the ball has a series of rings with strong flexible material between structure and to strengthen the apparatus. Attached to the top ring are arms which rest and secure on to the stands. The stands can move inor out along the arms. The bottom ring diameter must be twice the ball size, so the ball goes Through easily. To stable the bottom ring, heavier material will be use which will guide the ball to the player and stop bouncing in another direction. From throwing the side of the basketball hoop a back fence is attached to the basketball receiver shown in figure 3.

Claims (6)

  1. Claims 1. A basketball player can assembled the basketball receiver on their own, after throwing the basketball through the hoop the ball goes through the baskethall receiver and land at the player's feet.
  2. 2. A baskethall receiver according to claim 1 in which the arms secure on to the stands.
  3. 3. A basketball receiver according to claim I in which the bottom of the receiver is weighted down.
  4. 4. A basketball receiver according to claim 3 in which the bottom is twice the size of a basketball diameter.
  5. 5. A basketball receiver according to claim 1 in which the top of the receiver is a very large diameter for any miss throws.
  6. 6. A basketball receiver according to claim 1 in which the receiver can be folded and store away.
