Abstract

A sound and vibration proof container A comprises an insulated lid B and acoustic foam C with a suitable aperture to hold a mobile communication device D. The container is clear so that the device can be seen and is able to deaden both the sound of the device's ringtone and the vibrations which often accompany the ringtone. May be used to silence unattended mobile phones without the need to switch them off or turn them to a 'mute' setting, thereby preventing them from annoying neighboring workers in an office environment.

Description

MOBILE TELEPHONE CONTAINER
This invention relates to a sound-proofed container for mobile telephones and mobile e-mail devices.
Despite their mobility, many owners of mobile telephones and other similar devices, will leave them on their desks in an office environment when they attend meetings, lunch, comfort breaks or other reasons.
This means that on receipt of a call while they are absent the device will ring continuously and, if a voicemail message is then left, this Service will repeatedly call back until the message is picked up. This can be highly annoying for neighbouring workers, who may not wish to answer the original call, nor to turn off the device.
This invention is for a sound-proofed container into which the device can be placed and thereby be left to ring endlessly without disturbing anyone until the owner reappears.
The container will be clear, so that the device can been seen, and contain a sound-proofing arrangement sufficient to deaden both the sound of the nngtone and also the vibrations that often accompany the ringione.
INTRODUCrION TO DRAWINGS An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawing.
A clear container, A, with insulated lid, B, will contain an arrangement of acoustic foam, C, with a suitable aperture to hold a mobile communication device, D, cenfrally.
