Abstract
Means for attaching hair extensions or wefts to natural hair comprises a clip. The clip may be in the form of a tube which can be compressed or crimped to hold the hair firmly. The clip may have an internal grip in the form of a piece of soft plastic or dried adhesive which may help to pack out the tube. The weft maybe of treble thickness, formed by folding in three and stitching by hand, separate stitching lines are then formed approximately every ² inch. The hair is parted, the weft placed on the parting and natural hair strands pulled through eyelets in the weft, a strand of hair from either side of the spaced stitching is then held by using the clip device as described above.
Description
TREBLE HAIR
This wvernion relaxes to a method of treating hwmm hair to give it an appearances of being thicker and/or longer.
Various techniques have been used to try and thick&lengthen hair. A/ Individual strands of hair ate bonded together using kLIlIiu glue and then attaehed to human halt using heat R/ again boixi ing individuai strands and attaching the hair to human hair by way ole metal ring. C/ Welts clips sewn onto (hem are clipped on to the subjects, hair, this can only be used daily. DI Wells either glued, braided or sewn to the subjects, hair, creating a very bulky attachment and can damage the subjects, hair aix! scalp due to The problems with bonded hair extention is cost to the subject and time taken to apply. Also the potential damage to the subjeci,s hair and scalp because of the tension.
me object of this present invention is to provide a system which 1/is applied in 30 iithges. 2/ hIds as securely as in dividual hair extension tcchniques 31 does not cause damage to the sealp. 4/ Has the flexibility to be used for five to six months in wwear.
** Astfriofhajrjscafled a Welt Drawing l.A/the welt is 12 inches long and the well stitching is done by hand, not mhine sewn.
ftI The first 4 inches is then folded over the next 4 inches and sewn together to create double thickness. Drawing 2 C/ The rvmaining 4 Inches is then folded over the now doubled 4 inches and attached at the end of the doubled well, Drawing 3 0/ A sti cli connecting the now 2 wells is made along the wcft stitching every I. ÜL fl example wn is 12 inches but oil lengths can be used using the same proportions.. Drawing 4.
E/ A section of hair 5 inches long is taken along subject,s head. The well is placed along the section with the thicker layer uppermost Separate the top from the boUw by flipping it over and then clipping it away. Then use clips to secure the well to the t DrawingS.
Fl Using a tail comb, pull hair of subject through all cycits [openings) along well.
rwlag6 (3/ When that is done, take half the hair from either side of the stitch and thread a small tube [link) onto the 2 pieces of hair. This tube can be made of any material, metal or non-metal as long as when crimped it holds its shape. The tube must be aprox 4mm long and mm diameter. This can vary and is not a set size. Drawing 7.
Slide the link up to the stitching of the well. Slide into the tube a piece of Grip [aprox 4mm) this material can be a soft plastic or even a dried piece of adhesive. It is used to -out the tube and provide grip Pliers of any shape are used to crimp, close/ flatten, the tube.
H/ For the ends, take the last bit of hair and tlwntake some hair from next to the well and bring it over at 45 degrees and join with the hair from the welt Pull back the iop oldie welt to create lreblc Welt". Drawing 8. /
