An illuminated badge allows a brand such as a football club insignia to be backlit to stand out in the dark or at night. The badge is formed of a flexible plastic substrate to which the insignia is moulded or printed. The illumination may be provided by a bulb or bulbs, which are powered by a battery. The badge may also have an on off switch and be waterproof. The badge may be attached to hats, scarves, coats, flags and similar.
