Abstract

The multi-purpose security strap has a hook at each end to protect and secures zip and bag devices from snatch and opportunistic robbery. For zips it stops them being easily opened, except by the owner, and for bags etc, can be used to physically attach them to the owner or other possessions. One hook has a snap-closure and the other has a threaded closure. The strap may be length adjustable.

Description

I
Muftipurpose security strap Many of us have experienced theft of purse, wallet, mobile phone and keys, which have been stolen even when the bag was in our hands. When you realise it has happened, it is simply too late to do anything about it.
As snatch and opportunistic robbery is one of the most common crimes world wide, we need to help guard against these kind of crimes being perpetrated against us.
This invention, the multi purpose security strap, is designed to help protect against snatch robbery, or from your bag from being opened without your knowledge.
The strap has two types of hooks attached at the ends of the strap as shown in figure 1.
One is a screw type hook which is to hook the zip mechanism as it is securely tight and will take time to unscrew therefore, the bag is very well protected from being opened which stops snatch attempts.
The other end of the strap has a snap on hook, this is to hook onto the wearers belt holding loop or can be hooked onto the bag itself as shown in figure 2.
There is an adjuster in the middle of the strap which is for adjusting the strap at the suitable length.
This strap can be used as single on its own or multiply it by attaching additional strap onto the 0 shape ring of the main strap as shown in figure 3.
This will become useful for bags which has extra pockets like rucksack.
The strap can also be used on any article which can be opened with a zip, for example, rucksacks, handbags, laptops, instrument cases, wallets/purses shown in figure 4 and suitcases. This device wifl also be useful when you go shopping as you can attach the strap to the basket or trolley, so if you place your bag in the trolley for convenience it cannot be easily snatched as shown in figure 5.
