Abstract

A listening device such as a parent / child unit for monitoring young babies, persons with special needs etc that comprises an earpiece which works independently from a parents unit so that the monitor can be heard even when there is noise such as a washing machine, vacuuming, television etc. A number of applications are envisaged such as for mothers to keep in touch with their children. i.e. while mothers are working outside doing the garden or while vacuuming the house etc. The receiver which is similar to the Bluetooth can be worn and communication is instant, or it can also be used on building sites within the construction industry when at most times when the noise level is high again the receiver can be worn just like the Bluetooth and communication is pin point. This device can also be used where persons are confined to a wheelchair and also when mobility is at a minimum, as for example during convalescence.

Description

Latening Device The alVentiOn relates (a a listerung devIce.When having OUfl9 babiss or persons with specie! needs. parents often have a listening device to monitor the baby WhSt playing or sleeping for the ct*ls safety.
However as a parent I found difficulties to hear the monitor clearly whilst going about my aliy routine such as using a washing machine, hooveflng, watching television, listening to music and having guests.
To overcome these problems the present Invention proposes a listening davica with an earpiece which works independanly from the parents unit.
The earpiece will allow the parents to hear the baby! chiid whilst other noise Is presentThe earpiece could aio be waterproof.
The invention will now be descilbed. soley by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure A shows the baby! childs unit 1: Aerial for baby unit) which sends a signal to parents unit (refer to figure) and aerplece (refer to figure C) independanfly.
