Abstract

A plug (4) for a lavatory pan (1) comprising a rigid support (5) adapted to be positioned in the mouth of a lavatory pan (1), a seat (8) formed on the rigid support (5), an inflatable tube (10) positioned against the seat (8) and inflatable to increase the effective diameter of the plug (4), and a flexible cover (11) extending across the lower surface of the rigid support (5) and around the inflatable tube (10) so that upon inflation of the tube (10) the flexible cover (11) is trapped between the pan (1) and the inflatable tube (10) to form a seal with the pan (1) thereat.
