Abstract

Imaging apparatus (10) creates an image of a subject (12). An imaging device (14) is supported at (16) to move relative to the subject (12). Position recorders (18,20) record position data indicating the position of the image device. Position data is associated with image data formed at the corresponding position. Partial images, formed at each camera position, are combined by reference to the position data to form a coarse composite image which is then further modified to reduce or remove misalignment between adjoining partial images in the coarse composite.
